We offer Baby and Me and Mommy and Me.

We also offer discussion groups and workshops. For
winter session, we are offering: Facilitator Training, Winter
Activities for Active Children, Meditation Demystified,
Clearing the Clutter, Parenting a Special Needs Child,
Yoga Demystified, Backup and Ongoing Facilitator
Training, Family Traditions, and Parenting a Elementary

We are run by moms for moms! For a taste of our past
We have previously offered discussion groups on topics
ranging from Toddler Issues to Communicating with Teens
to Friendship, Siblings, Caring for Children with Special
Needs, Taking Care of One’s Self, Stress and Anxiety,
and Caring for Aging Parents.
We have also offered workshops on Understanding the
Eastern View of Our Energy Body: The Chakra System,
Yoga, Meditation, and Making Homemade Baby Food.
We have run crafting classes such as Scrapbooking and
Knitting, and have active daytime and evening book clubs.
In addition, we schedule Girls' Nights Out at restaurants,
bowling alleys, and a variety of other locations.
We also schedule family activities over breaks and
discounted trips to family locations such as Sky Zone
Trampoline and Great Wolf Lodge.
What we offer depends upon the needs of our current
members; we welcome and are open to member input!

Daytime Book Club: Meets at MMC on February 3 from 10-11:30 am to discuss All the Light We Cannot See by
Anthony Doerr (childcare can be arranged with advance notice).
Evening Book Club: Meets on February 5 at 8 pm to discuss Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty

Mommy and Me and Baby and Me classes start February 9! More information can be found here: Mommy and

Bagel and Play: February 18 from 10-noon at MMC. Meet for bagels and playtime over break. $7/per person;
family maximum of $20.
Sky Zone Trampolines in Deer Park: planning is underway for a Tuesday, February 17 a group trip during the
February school break! (Prices and registration info to be announced soon)!
Mothers and Others Brunch: March 8 from 12-4 pm. Come support the Mothers’ Center of Southwest Nassau at
their annual brunch. Write MMC on your registration form and we’ll have a great social afternoon!
A trip is being planned to Great Wolf Lodge in late April and Year End Dinner planning is also underway!
Thank you to our Mothers Center members, the parishoners of Our Lady of Lourdes, and the parents and members
of Boy Scout Troop 189 for their generous donations of their goods and their time as volunteers for our Fall
Rummage Sale. The Rummage Sale was successful and we look forward to holding another one in early spring.
